"We were expecting to gain a few tidbits on teaching, but we left with strategies that have the potential to change the culture and attitude of our school forever."

"This conference was the best educational experience I've had since I left college. I've been to seminars, clinics, and all kinds of workshops, but this conference was more value than anything I've experienced. In the past week, I reflected more on my teaching practices than I've ever done since I began my career."
...Teacher of Middle School Science, St. Lawrence County, New York

"I was awed by your effort to make each person at the conference feel valued."
...Middle School Teacher, ELA, State of Delaware

    St. Lawrence University Credit
EDUC 566 Special Topic: Constructivist Design

GET COLLEGE CREDIT WHILE YOU REFORM YOUR SCHOOL
Three hours of St. Lawrence University credit are available to conference participants, facilitators, and resoure people who are actively engaged in the Design Conference throughout the week.

If you choose to participate in the Design Conference for St. Lawrence University credit, you will be able to work with your team and/or fulfill your other conference obligations. The course work will not take you away from what you came to do, but it will enhance and build upon your work. You may have assigned readings, meeting time during the conference (but not in conflict with conference work), and there will be a reflective paper due in the late Fall. The purpose of the paper will be to integrate your articulation of what you planned at the summer conference and how it played out in the "real world" during your implementation.
