Dear Mr. Huntley:

The Crown Point Central School District looks forward to working with the "Learner-Centered Classroom/Standards -Focused Initiative" under the "Targeted Instructional Staff Development" grant.

Two of our teachers have already participated in a week of training this summer at St. Lawrence University. We are committed to providing these teachers with the support, including released time, which they will need to be successful in creating learner-centered/standards-focused classrooms.

As you know, Crown Point has been identified by the State as a "high needs" district. For this
reason, the professional development provided through this initiative is extremely meaningful.
It is also our intent to integrate this professional development approach into our District's
Professional Development Plan.
