OUR BELIEFS
RAISING STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
Students will meet higher standards when they are independent
learners who take responsibility for their own learning.
An Independent Learner is characterized by the behaviors listed
on the next page.
To enable students to become independent learners, parents and teachers
must create a learner centered environment which affords the opportunity
for students to take responsibility for their own learning.
To create a learner centered environment, teachers and parents need many of the skills and strategies defined in the "Tool KIT" (see page 16)
